A job is considered sedentary if walking and standing only take up about two hours in an eight hour work day. Sedentary work requires you to sit for up to six hours a day. It involves occasionally lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and lifting or carrying small items, such as paperwork.
So…..I’ve always wondered how it’s possible that I gain weight despite my job being tasking and stressful. I come home feeling battered most of the time and I always thought that should help me loose weight and not gain it.
My thought was I shouldn’t need exercise if I’m that stressed, my waistline thinks differently😏.
Anyway, I came to the realization that my job is majorly sedentary despite being tasking and stressful. So, I have to find a way to incoporate the exercise into my day, no matter how stressful it has been or will be.
I had my walk today, 1km before work and 1.5km after work, not as much as I would like but it’s better than nothing at all, and would have to do until the weekend.
Update: my home scale and work scale are in sync so I have a lot of work ahead of me still.
